Top 3 Eyeliner Looks without Mascara
Eyeliners are very transformative. Just a simple line or style of Eyeliner can take your make-up look to the next level. There are various reasons why you’d preferably do without mascara. Maybe you have allergic reactions, or you don’t want that yucky mascara feeling. Well, here’s three top Eyeliner only looks you can rock and still look fabulous.
Big brow looks
Big brows have been quite trendy and when combined with the full eyelashes look that mascara gives, your eye region would be too busy. In essence, an extensive brow look is a great way to skip mascara and still achieve a flawless eye look.
Winged Eyeliner look
This look is a popular eyeliner look that is subtle and glamorous at the same time. A winged eyeliner look is a great way to give your eyes a great definition without mascara. Trust me, it doesn’t look weird at all, and no one would notice that you have no mascara on until they come close to you.
If you are looking for a more natural or casual look, then using just eyeliners is a perfect way to achieve this. Use a pencil eyeliner to line just the outer top eyelid to achieve the perfect casual look with just Eyeliner.
Do’s and Dont’s of Eyeliner
Choose a quality eyeliner.
Although you might think that all eyeliners are the same and it doesn’t matter what type you use, it would still come out the same. Well, this is not entirely true. There are several low-quality eyeliners in the market, and using one of them would never look good, no matter how perfect your make-up looks. Also, low-quality eyeliners can cause irritations and can infect your eyes. We advise that you go for a quality eyeliner.
Do make your Eyeliner last.
Even though you might think your Eyeliner should last all day. It may always not be the case. You must smudge-proof your eyeliners. A great way to do this is by setting your Eyeliner with the same color of eyeshadow. You can do this by using an angled brush to follow the line with a matching eyeshadow color.
Do start with a thin line.
If you’re just a beginner, you should start with a slimline as you can quickly correct it if you make any mistake. It would be impossible to correct any errors if you start with a thick line.
Do use eyeshadow on the lower lid to create a soft line.
Drawing a thick line on your lower lid can appear quite aggressive. Instead, use a similar eyeshadow color to smudge the under your eyelashes. You should start from the outer corner and smudge the line as you move inwards. You should end about 1/2-2/3 across your lower eyelid.
Don’t line your entire eyes.
This lining is a common mistake we often make. You should avoid drawing your Eyeliner on your whole eyes. When you apply Eyeliner on your entire eyes, it appears a little harsh and unflattering. It also makes your eye smaller and can make you look like a panda. You should avoid doing this by all means.
Don’t pull down your skin to apply Eyeliner.
Pulling the skin to apply Eyeliner usually results in a rough and unnatural line. You should always draw your line when your eyes are relaxed with either a liquid liner or a sharp pencil eyeliner.
Don’t draw a thick uniform line.
A thick line would usually make your eyes appear squinty as opposed to looking bright. We suggest you start with a thin line in the inner corner of your eyes and then make a thicker line at the outer corner of your eyes.
Don’t be afraid to start.
Rome was not built in a day, and you can’t expect to be pro at drawing eyeliners overnight. It is perfectly normal for you to make some mistakes. Do not be afraid to clean it off and start again. That way, you’d learn even better.
Don’t use the same type of Eyeliner for an eye look
It is no mistake that there are different types of eyeliners. Each eyeliner type produces different results. For instance, you can’t achieve that smudged eyeliner line with liquid Eyeliner, just as you can achieve that winged eyeliner look with a pencil eyeliner. So depending on the look, you want to achieve, use the Eyeliner that suits the look.
Don’t share your eyelashes.
Eyeliners are usually applied in the most delicate part of your eyes. It is, therefore, possible for you to contract numerous infections like herpes or pink eyes.
Is liquid or pencil eyeliner better?
It generally depends on the look you want to achieve. Liquid eyeliners are usually applied with a brush to produce a more defined bass line for all over-the-top make-up looks. Pencil eyeliners, on the other hand, give a softer look. They are used to create a more natural make-up look. Liquid eyeliners would generally really have some skill to be perfect, so if you’re a beginner, I’d advise that you use a liquid eyeliner.
Will not wearing mascara help your lashes grow?
No. Although inappropriate use of mascara can damage your eyes, ditching them does not guarantee longer and fuller lashes. Generally, due to your natural cycles, you might lose 1-5 lashes a day. So if you want to grow your lashes naturally, you can use some essential oils such as castor oil, olive oil, and coconut oil.
